Approximately 90% of minor hockey teams do not have a qualified goalie coach. Parents are forced to find private training in the off season to get their child ready for the upcoming season. The difficulty is that most schools are offered only during the summer months. By mid- October the kids are back into those old bad habits again. For goalies to be successful, a commitment has to be made to provide training all year round.
Tenders Goalie School offers year round Goalie Clinics at the Fort Erie Leisureplex.
These consist of basic drills and endurance training to keep the kids in shape, provide instruction to keep them on track and out of bad habits and to also give them that edge over other goalies and other teams.

CONGRATULATIONS KAYDEN - A TENDERS GOALIE SCHOOL SUCCESS STORY!
Kayden has been accepted into the Criminal Justice program at New England College in Henniker, New Hampshire. Today she also signed with the New England College Pilgrims to play on the women's D3 Hockey team. Her dedication, commitment and perseverance throughout the years have finally paid off. We couldn't be more proud of her. She never gave up and has followed her dream to pursue playing a sport she adores. Thank you to those who have supported her through the years on and off the ice.
Kayden came to Tenders Goalie School a couple of years ago and told me that her dream was to play college hockey.
She dedicated her time and energy and in 2023 those dreams became a reality.
I quickly realized that she was not only a very talented goalie but also a kind outgoing person. I offered her a position as an instructor and she accepted. She now gives back to young girls and goalies through instruction. Her love for the game and position is contagious.
I wish her all the best and have no doubt she will be successful in hockey and in life! |
